Forest Youth FC are a Charter Standard, FA Approved football club focusing on delivering first class training, coaching and overall development for kids, children and youth football based in Roffey, Horsham.
In 2011 we have signed a partnership with Pro Direct Soccer Academies (Sussex) that allows us to offer our very own Community Soccer School that offer "football for all" from the ages of 4 and 5 right the way through to 8 years old.
The Soccer School works as a feeder into the clubs teams but also offers the opportunity for the more advanced children to attend their specialised Academies.
We currently have a U7 (year two), U8 (year three), U9 (year four) and a U10 (year five) teams. By 2018 we will have a full youth section from U6’s to U18’s!
We play in either the Mid Sussex Sunday Youth Football League or the
Sussex Sunday Youth Football League
Our 4 & 5 year olds train every Saturday morning with Pro Direct Soccer Academies at the Cornfield with the Saturday Soccer School between 9am to 10am that is located behind Roffey Social & Sports Club, Spooners Road, Roffey in Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 4DY with Matt & Will of Pro Direct.
Our U7 (under seven) side train every Saturday morning at the Cornfield with the Saturday Soccer School between 10am to 11am that is located behind Roffey Social & Sports Club, Spooners Road, Roffey in Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 4DY. They are Managed by Matt Eagles of Pro Direct & Simon Gore assisted by our Youth Officer Jon Atkins. They are due to play local friendlies and the Mid Sussex Mini tournaments at Waterhall every month
Our U8 (under eight) have 16 children that have been together for three years and are in the Mid Sussex Football Deevelopment League. They also train on a Saturday morning and have winter training facilities on a Tuesday night. The team are under the guidance of Pete Ratcliffe and Russell Miller.
Our latest side joining Forest YFC are Our U9 (under nine) and have a squad of boys and girls and will play within the Sussex Sunday Youth League. They will training on a Monday night in Horsham and play their home games at the Conrfield in Roffey Horsham. They are managed by Lee Maguire.
Our U10 (under ten) have 14 boys and have been together since 2006 and play within the Sussex Sunday Youth League against some of the stronger teams on the south coast around the Brighton area. They train on a Wednesday nights at K2 in Crawley and play their games on a Sunday at the Cornfield in Roffey, Horsham. They are managed and coached by Dave Cocoracchio and Jon Atkins.
All of our coaches are qualified to a minimum of the FA Level 1 Coaching Badge; many have achieved the FA Level 2 badge, or the FA Youth Coaches Award and/or FA Age Appropriate Coaching Award.
As part of our commitment to child welfare, all coaches and people within the club that are in contact with the children are FA Enhanced CRB checked every three years and coaches attend a Child Welfare Workshop every three years. They are also a minimum standard of FA Emergency Aid Qualified.
We are always looking for enthusiatic, keen coaches, managers or dads to help and assist in the running, coaching, managing or development of the club.
